Matthew Vasconcellos founded Vasconcellos Law Group LLC in 2010 as a law firm focused primarily on representing individuals, businesses and organizations in state and federal appeals. The firm also accepts a limited number of lower court matters on a case-by-case basis.

Matt earned his juris doctor from the University of Michigan Law School and a bachelor of arts degree from the University of Massachusetts Boston. After law school, he joined Goodman & Hurwitz, PC, a Detroit law firm specializing in civil rights litigation.

After joining the venerated Chicago litigation firm Adamski & Conti, Matt practiced in a wide range of areas: from commercial litigation to criminal defense, to domestic relations. It is at Adamski & Conti where he discovered his passion for appellate work, briefing and arguing appeals before the U.S. 7th Circuit Court of Appeals, Illinois Courts of Appeals, and the U.S. 11th Circuit Court of Appeals.

Matt founded Vasconcellos Law Group LLC to devote more of his time to appellate work. However, he still enjoys the challenge and excitement of trial court litigation and reserves some of his time for practicing in federal trial courts, Cook County and the surrounding area.
